Record-Breaking Recruitment for WPR
Birmingham-based integrated agency WPR has strengthened and expanded its team with the addition of seven new colleagues in May 2021.
With significant content development and copywriting skills, Elliot Glynn joins as social media content manager, adding his expertise to the B2B social team, working with clients including Baxi and Aggreko. Experienced digital specialist Henna Patel has been appointed SEO manager and Trenton Burke brings his love of language to the newly created role of junior conceptual copywriter on the consumer social team.
WPR’s focus on identifying and developing talent, which includes internship and work experience schemes, often leads to lasting relationships. Xavier Genest’s recent internship has led to his appointment as graduate content executive, and it was through a work experience placement that Jewel Kattri first came to the agency’s attention.
Both Jewel and another recent graduate, Tom Willetts, now join WPR as graduate social media analysts and will be supporting the consumer and B2B social teams respectively.
Beginning a new career at WPR, former English and media studies teacher Sam Brown joins as graduate PR executive, having recently completed an MA in Public Relations. Sam will be working on the consumer PR team with clients including Care UK and Redrow.
Jane Ainsworth, managing director, said: “As new and existing clients respond to the challenges of the past year, we have seen a significant increase in demand for the type of creative content development and amplification that WPR excels at. In the space of just a few months, we have recruited for an unprecedented 12 roles, expanding skill sets and adding capacity across our PR and social media teams.”
Rebecca Williams, director with responsibility for all things ‘people’ at WPR, said: “I am delighted that we have found such brilliant people to join our team and know they’ll bring a wealth of new ideas, knowledge and enthusiasm. We work hard at attracting, developing and retaining the most talented team – who go on to deliver outstanding work for our clients – and we believe WPR is a pretty special place to work.”
Further appointments will be announced in the coming weeks as WPR continues to expand its team.
