WPR Named Best PR Agency Outside London

WPR has won the best agency outside London accolade at the PRWeek Awards 2024.

The awards, widely known as the most prestigious in the PR and communications sector, recognise the best talent and work from the UK’s marketing and media industry, with a judging process renowned for being robust and rigorous.

WPR was named best PR agency outside London in recognition of its enviable client list and strong people, purpose and planet ethos.

Jane Ainsworth, managing director, said: “This is a whole agency award that celebrates the creativity and determination the team brings to work every day.

“We demonstrated to the judges how joined up our approach is. We recognise the link between making WPR the best possible environment in which our talented team can thrive and how that directly feeds into our ability to deliver exceptional work for the fantastic brands we work with.

“After more than three decades of creating world-class work from our home in the heart of the UK, we’re more passionate than ever about how our industry is evolving, how we can innovate as a business and about the results we can achieve for our clients.”

The judges were impressed, commenting: “This is clearly a company that values its staff and their welfare, with strong evidence of commitment to diversity and inclusion, and award wins in recognition of its workplace satisfaction scores.”

In the weeks since the judging took place, Birmingham PR agency WPR has become a certified B Corporation, further cementing its position as a forward-thinking agency committed to an inclusive, equitable and regenerative economy, and Jane Ainsworth has been named marketing leader of the year at the Midlands Marketing Awards.
