WPR in the Running for Seven PRide Awards
WPR has been shortlisted for seven CIPR PRide Awards in 2022. Covering the full breadth of the PR and social media consultancy’s service areas, the Birmingham agency is shortlisted in categories including ‘best use of media relations’ and ‘corporate and business communications’.
In the corporate and business communications category, WPR’s innovative campaign designed to demonstrate Aggreko’s sustainability credentials has been shortlisted, while the attention-grabbing search for an official ‘mansion tester’ is shortlisted in both the best use of media relations and low budget categories.
A creative campaign that launched Hungry Horse’s new breakfast menu by encouraging people to wear their pyjamas while enjoying ‘breakfast inn bed’ is up for the consumer relations award. In the integrated category, a campaign to launch industry leader REHAU to consumers is shortlisted, while WPR’s impactful work for Checkatrade has been selected in the digital and social media category.
Alongside the campaign categories, the PRide Awards also recognise team success and WPR is shortlisted for PR consultancy of the year.
As well as this news from CIPR PRide Awards, PR Week has also announced this week that WPR is a finalist for best agency outside London in the prestigious PR Week Awards 2022. This award recognises the most accomplished agency outside the capital, with judges assessing commercial achievements, creative successes and the ability to innovate.
WPR managing director Jane Ainsworth said: “We’re never complacent about the work we do, nor the results we deliver for our clients. We’re passionate about continually finding the most creative, impactful and effective way to deliver exceptional campaigns. I’m incredibly proud of what our brilliant team achieves, so it’s really rewarding when they receive this sort of recognition from industry peers.
“As a whole team, we’re also thrilled to be shortlisted for PR consultancy of the year by the PRide Awards and for best agency outside London by PR Week. 2022 is proving to be an exciting year for WPR – we’ve celebrated three decades of business, grown the agency in terms of both team and revenue, and achieved some ambitious goals in our mission to have one of the most forward-thinking approaches to social responsibility in our sector.”
