WPR Picks Up Five PRide Awards
Midlands integrated agency WPR is celebrating after winning four silver and one gold award at the CIPR’s prestigious PRide Awards. Having been shortlisted for no fewer than eight campaigns, the WPR team was thrilled to collect awards in categories ranging from corporate and business communications to best use of content.
The glittering Diamond-a-Day campaign for jewellery retailer Beaverbrooks scooped silver awards for both consumer relations and media relations.
A research-led Mission Critical project for Aggreko was groundbreaking in its sector and won silver in the corporate and business communications category.
Taking a multi-channel approach and blending PR with influencer tactics, Spoil Yourself With Plants for Fry’s picked up the silver integrated award.
Finally, winning the gold award for best use of content, the Hand Catwalk for Sekonda demonstrated how attention-grabbing content can deliver exceptional results. The judges were impressed by the creative and innovative approach which “organically gained celebrity ambassadors”.
WPR managing director Jane Ainsworth said: “I’m so pleased to see the brilliant work our team produces for our clients receiving this recognition. We love finding ways to exceed our clients’ expectations, delivering inventive concepts that convert to real results.
“The varied nature of the winning campaigns – spanning consumer PR, B2B and social media – demonstrates the strength and breadth of our expertise. I’m really proud of the talented team we’ve developed at WPR and delighted that our success over the past year has allowed us to expand our team to meet growing demand for the insightful, creative approach in which we specialise.”
The Birmingham PR agency also celebrated four wins at this summer’s PRCA Dare Awards, a testament to the hard work the team puts in to understand what clients need and to exceed their expectations across consumer PR, B2B and social campaigns.
