WPR Attracts Industry-Leading Social Media Talent
Birmingham PR agency WPR has appointed former Holland & Barrett group social media lead Liz MacDonald to the newly created role of social media and creative services director.
Having worked in-house for prominent national and international brands, Liz’s role at WPR will see her take responsibility for a team spanning copywriters, designers, analysts, paid specialists and client handlers.
Her focus will be on ensuring WPR delivers industry-leading creative work across the agency’s consumer clients, developing compelling strategies and inspiring her team to produce exceptional ideas and content.
WPR managing director Jane Ainsworth said: “Liz brings a wealth of social media experience and her creativity and people-first approach to leadership are truly impressive. Our creative services across social media, design, paid media and sub-editing are increasingly in demand as brands seek new ways to connect with their customers.
“With Liz’s passion for staying ahead of trends, curiosity to find fresh ideas and focus on achieving results, we are excited about the potential to deliver even more for our clients.”
Liz said: “I’m beyond delighted to have joined WPR at such an exciting time of growth for the business. It is the perfect fit culture-wise and for my leadership style – people first – and the rest will follow. The agency has a fantastic portfolio of clients and an excellent reputation within the industry. I look forward to collaborating with what I can already see is a very talented team.”
