WPR Welcomes Marketing Director
Midlands-based integrated agency WPR has appointed Philippa Crosthwaite as marketing director.
Pip, a strategic marketer with over 20 years’ experience acquired through a mix of in-house and agency roles, will take responsibility for ensuring that WPR communicates its own stories as effectively as those of its clients.
Her appointment in April 2021 is not Pip’s first experience of working at WPR. She completed a student placement year at the agency during her PR degree and began her career a graduate account executive on the B2B team more than two decades ago.
WPR managing director, Jane Ainsworth, said: “Since leaving WPR over two decades ago, Pip has gone on to have a stellar career in marketing, working for some big name brands and some of the country’s leading schools.
“It feels quite surreal to be back working with a fellow 1997 WPR graduate exec, but incredibly exciting too. Pip will bring some fresh thinking to the business and I couldn’t be happier that we tempted her back to agency life.”
Pip said: “WPR gave me a brilliant introduction to the industry at the start of my career. As well as teaching me a lot about PR and communications, the emphasis on valuing and developing people always struck me as being a special feature of the company. I’ve followed WPR’s many successes over the years and I’m thrilled to be working with such a great team again.”
