Birmingham-based integrated agency WPR has strengthened its growing consumer social media team with the appointment of graduate social executive, Georgia Welfair.
A first-class honours media and communications graduate, Georgia will be working on a wide range of the agency’s clients including Greene King, Edgbaston Village, Associated Independent Stores and REHAU.
As a social media executive, Georgia will be supporting on the creation of engaging content across key consumer and B2B clients, as well as providing community management for big name brands.
Jane Ainsworth, managing director of WPR said: “Georgia actually joined WPR as part of our work experience programme, prior to the Covid pandemic. She impressed everyone with her enthusiasm and eagerness to learn so, when the opportunity arose to grow our social team, there was no question we wanted Georgia to join the agency. We are so glad she agreed.”
Georgia said: “My time at WPR as an undergraduate was a great chance to see what working in different parts of an integrated agency involves. When I found out WPR was looking for someone to join its social team as a graduate, I was eager to go for the position and extend my skillset in the vibrant and fast developing social media sphere. I am a people person and love to collaborate creatively on projects, so the fast-paced agency environment is perfect for me.”
